Wallflowers

This month at the Keszler Gallery: Zhuang Hong Yi.


The Dutch-raised artist, in his first solo U.S. show, carefully manipulates flowers from rice paper onto canvas, painting each petal with layers of acrylic and oil paint. These stunning fields of flowing paper, large and small, depict elements of his chinese heritage and life growing up in the Netherlands. I want!
